My name is Christine. I'm a United States citizen, a taxpayer, a parent, a woman, a Christian, a health care consumer, and a small business owner.
I enjoy breathing clean air and drinking clean water. I expect our elected leaders to act like grown ups. I love my country. I want a positive future for my daughter and all young people.
Oh, and I like cats, red wine, and Ethiopian food.
After the presidential election, I was exhausted from waking up in the middle of night worrying about what was going on in our country. I needed to do something. So I decided to make a trip to The White House once a month to make my voice heard. Not only did I want to feel better about what I was doing, I figured it would be a great opportunity for others to make their voices heard as well.
This is not sponsored by an organization, nor am I being paid to make this journey. I'm a mom with a sign and a really amazing family who supports my activism 100%. (Photo Credit: Tony Kazmierski)

As of December 2018 I will have spent 19 days in front of the White House since my first visit on May 11, 2017. See the blog posts below for reflections on my visits (I know, the last one was from January 2018 - sorry, it's been a busy year!) Follow Meet Up Speak Out on Facebook to check out videos from each visit. I look forward to continuing to exercise our First Amendment right to peaceably assemble, so come join me. Come out for a few minutes, for lunch hour or the whole day - whatever works for you! Please read the FAQs below.
